After

I met a few friends at After following dinner at Ever. After is an upscale bar/lounge sat in the same building as Ever. 

I was still reeling a bit from the glorious dinner I had just enjoyed, so I won't have too much to say about this place. We ordered a number of dishes (my friends had yet to eat dinner) and they were stellar - both visually and flavor-wise. The menu was fantastic.

Drinks were as well. We ordered various ones and they were creative and delicious and expertly designed.

Perhaps informed by the elegance of Ever, but service here didn't quite reach where it should. It wasn't bad, but under-performed compared to the food, drinks and physical space.

I'm not a huge drinker, so this is not a place I would frequent anyway. But clearly a properly designed companion to the restaurant and well-delivered. Worth a visit on its own for those looking for an upscale alternative to your typicaly neighborhood bar.

But seriously, if you're already there, just go to Ever.  :)
