This was our warm up to The French Laundry (which was the following evening). And it was truly outstanding. I wish we had been there during daylight because it is situated on the side of a hill overlooking the Napa vineyards. The view along would be worth the price of the meal.

But the meal itself was really outstanding. Worth its entire Michelin star - I might suggest 2.

Amuse. Eggplant, paprika.
Amuse. Tuna. So good!
Lobster, watermelon, cactus.
Best scallop I've ever had. The cook was perfect.
Duck. The endive salad was actually the star.
Lamb. So good.
Cream filled donut, strongest sorbet ever, fresh fruit
We substituted duck for sweetbreads.

What do you think? I'd love to hear from you.
