Otto's High Dive
Bib Gourmand is Michelin's rating that's below 1 star, but better than just being listed in the guide. It's kind of a "Pay attention to this place..." type of designation. My experiences with Bib Gourmand's have been all over the place, and not every one deserves space in this blog.
But Otto's High Dive certainly does.
It's a super hip-feeling place, from the interior space to the servers. The target is clearly 30 and 40 year olds with money. It's not cheap. But you can absolutely see where the money goes!
These dishes are well conceived, well made and well put together. The ingredients were elevated and super fresh. From the drinks to the appetizers and mains, this food was absolutely delicious causing my friend and I to groan plenty of times and nod happily as the next forkful went into our mouths.
They aren't forging new paths. They're not trying to. The menu aptly describes the plates and our very friendly server was happy to give pointers.
I doubt you could go wrong here. Throw a dart at the menu, it'll likely be terrific.
Highly recommended if you are in Orlando looking for upscale Cuban cuisine. This place is outstanding.
